Celebration process is still very much manual in a lot of organization and it leads to inconsistency. When a customer receives a birthday message at exactly the right moment, on the right channel, in their language, from a brand they trust, it builds the kind of loyalty that no ad campaign can manufacture. When an employee feels genuinely recognized on their birthday or work anniversary, they feel like they belong. That sense of belonging drives retention, engagement, and culture in ways that are hard to measure but easy to feel.
Every update we ship moves us closer to our mission: help organizations automate and manage their celebration processes so they can focus on other important work. Making it effortless for any organization, a company with teams across five countries, a church of 3,000 members, a boutique with 100’s of loyal customers, to celebrate every person, every time, without missing a single moment.
This month, we’re excited to share six new features and improvements now live in your PeopleWisher account.
Celebration Schedule
One of the most common questions our customers ask is: “How do I know what’s going out before it goes out?”
The new Celebration Schedule answers that. You can now view a daily and weekly calendar of every celebration event queued in your account, the messages, graphics, and workflows planned for each contact directly from your dashboard.
This means you can review, spot-check, and confidently run large-scale celebration programs knowing exactly what every recipient will receive and when.
How to use it: Click the “View Schedule” button on your dashboard, or access it directly from your daily and weekly notification emails.

๐ Automated Birthday & Anniversary Graphics
A written message tells someone you remembered them. A beautifully designed graphic makes them feel it.
We’ve been building toward this for a while, and it’s now live: PeopleWisher can automatically generate branded celebration graphics for birthdays and anniversaries created based on your brand preset, or custom-designed by our design team.
Every graphic is generated per contact, queued for your approval ahead of the celebration date, and delivered automatically once approved. Graphics are also used within Shoutouts (see below), bringing visual, on-brand recognition to your team’s shared channels.
For businesses that want every team touchpoint to feel intentional, this removes one of the last manual steps in the celebration workflow.

๐ Gift Coordination
Celebration isn’t always digital.
For teams and organizations that want to go beyond greetings message, a birthday gift delivered to an employee’s door, a thank-you package for a loyal customer, coordinating that delivery has historically meant managing vendors separately, outside of your celebration workflow.
PeopleWisher now coordinates directly with your gift vendors to ensure celebration packages arrive on time. We also integrate with gift marketplaces, so the entire process, choosing, ordering, and delivering can be managed from within PeopleWisher.
We believe this brings organizations one step closer to a complete celebration operating system, where nothing falls through the cracks.

๐ Shoutouts & Announcements
Private celebration is meaningful. Public celebration builds culture.
PeopleWisher can now automatically post public shoutouts for birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones across the platforms where your team already spends their day:
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
- WhatsApp Groups
- And more
When a teammate sees their colleague’s birthday announced in their Slack channel and adds a reaction, that small moment of public recognition does something a private message can’t: it brings the whole team into the celebration.
For customer-facing teams, public anniversary or milestone announcements on social channels also serve as organic, authentic content celebrating the relationship rather than promoting a product.

๐ Designer Mode for Email Templates
From day one, our goal has been to make celebration automation accessible to every organization, regardless of team size or technical resources. Designer Mode continues that commitment.
We’ve built a rich email template designer available to all users, no developer, no designer required. You can now create polished, on-brand celebration emails that include:
- Your logo and banner images
- Embedded videos
- Custom layouts and colour schemes
- Dynamic fields (first name, custom attributes, discount codes)
The result is a birthday or anniversary email that looks like it was built by a design team, because now, it can be.

Improved Celebration Notifications
We’ve rebuilt our daily and weekly notification emails from the ground up.
The improved notifications give you a clearer, more organized view of upcoming birthdays and anniversaries, and now include action buttons directly in the email. Whenever an approval or action is needed (a graphic to review, a gift to confirm), you can respond without logging in first.
For busy HR teams and managers running large contact lists, this means fewer steps between being informed and taking action.

Celebration Is a Strategy, Not a Gesture
Many organizations approach birthdays and anniversaries as a calendar item, something to tick off so a customer or employee feels nominally acknowledged. We believe that undersells what celebration can actually do.
When done consistently and personally, celebration:
- Improves employee retention and team morale
- Strengthens customer loyalty and repeat purchase behaviour
- Increases member engagement in communities and organizations
- Builds the kind of human connection that no automated process can fake if the automation is done thoughtfully
That last point is what we obsess over. The goal of PeopleWisher has never been to replace genuine human care with a scheduled message. It’s to make sure that the care your organization already has for its people is never accidentally lost to a busy calendar or a missed reminder.
Every organization that joins PeopleWisher is invited to a Celebration Strategy Conversation with our team where we explore together how celebration fits into your broader goals, which channels your audience responds to, and what a celebration program that actually moves the needle looks like for you.
What We’re Building Next
Looking ahead, we’re working on two major initiatives:
Celebration AI Agents – intelligent agents that will not only send greetings but provide real-time feedback on what’s working, suggest improvements to your celebration workflows, and help teams make celebration a measurable driver of engagement and retention.
Celebration Budget & Expense Tracking – a highly requested feature that will let organizations plan, track, and report on celebration spend across teams and departments, all within PeopleWisher.
We’re also deepening our work with teams across time zones to understand more about celebration culture in different regions, as we prepare to open regional offices in the US, UAE, and Nigeria.
Share Your Thoughts
Many of our most useful features started as a message from a customer.
If there’s something you’d like to see in PeopleWisher a new channel, a workflow type, an integration reply directly to any of our emails or reach us at [email protected]. We read every message.
Thank you for being part of what we’re building.
